Prepare the fleet brief

What we need to know

An existing spreadsheet or vehicle list can help you prepare for the conversation. Keep each vehicle tied to its condition, site and status. Flag unknowns rather than guessing.

Number of vehicles
Give the approximate fleet size and identify which vehicles are ready for review.
Makes, models & years
An existing vehicle list is a useful starting point. Add mileage and vehicle identifiers where available.
Condition & mobility
Note damage, known faults, missing parts and whether each vehicle starts, drives, rolls or steers.
Locations
Group vehicles by emirate and site, and identify the person who can coordinate each location.
Access / parking
Include gates, height limits, loading space, parking levels, keys and any site access requirements.
Ownership / finance / status
Flag available registration details, the authorised business contact and any known finance, fines or restrictions.

Have the list ready for the follow-up discussion; the initial form does not accept fleet-list uploads.

A mixed fleet does not need one blanket assumption. These review categories help organise the discussion; they are not approvals or confirmed disposal outcomes.

From fleet list to an agreed plan

How fleet disposal works

Separate the vehicle review from the practical arrangements.

  1. Review the fleet

Start with the vehicle list, fleet size, site locations and a business contact.

  2. Assess condition & status

Review each vehicleโ€™s condition, mobility, ownership and known restrictions.

  3. Agree a practical route

Clarify which vehicles suit an as-is sale, salvage or scrap discussion, and agree the scope.

  4. Arrange collection where appropriate

Confirm site access, handling needs and collection arrangements for the agreed vehicles.

Multi-location collection

Plan around the sites, not just the vehicles.

Your vehicles may be spread across depots, workshops, company parking or industrial yards in different emirates. Site access and each vehicleโ€™s mobility affect what can be arranged.

Vehicle collection and access checks

For each site, prepare

  1. Location & vehicle list

Exact site location and which vehicles are parked there.

  2. Contact & access

Site coordinator, available keys, gate access and parking restrictions.

  3. Handling considerations

Whether each vehicle rolls or steers, loading space and any access limits.

Before any handover

Paperwork, ownership & vehicle status

Requirements depend on the emirate, registered owner and agreed route. Check the current requirements with the relevant authority and lender before acting.

UAE government registration guidance
Vehicle identity & registration

Have the available Mulkiya and vehicle identifiers ready. Flag missing, expired or unclear records before agreeing a handover.

Ownership & business authority

Identify the registered owner and the person authorised to act for the business. A vehicle being at a workshop or site does not by itself establish permission to dispose of it.

Finance & lender requirements

Check any outstanding finance or mortgage status with the lender and relevant registration authority. Do not assume collection resolves a finance obligation.

Fines, restrictions & next steps

Confirm any outstanding fines or restrictions and the applicable transfer, cancellation and plate-handling steps with the relevant authority. Collection alone does not confirm a change of registration status.

Fleet disposal FAQs

Can we discuss a mixed fleet with running and non-running vehicles?

Yes. Share a vehicle-by-vehicle overview of condition, faults, mobility and location. The practical route is reviewed for each vehicle rather than treating the whole fleet as scrap.

Is there a fixed minimum fleet size?

No fixed minimum is published on this page. Share the number of vehicles and the scope of the request so the team can discuss whether it is suitable.

Do all the vehicles need to be at one location?

No. Explain which vehicles are at each site, with the emirate, access details and site contact. Multi-location collection feasibility and arrangements need to be reviewed before confirmation.

How do we start with the existing valuation form?

Use one representative vehicle in the initial form and your business contact details. In the follow-up conversation, explain that this is a fleet request and share the fleet size, vehicle mix and site information. The form is not a complete fleet inventory.

Can a workshop arrange disposal for vehicles left on its premises?

Start by clarifying registered ownership and the authority to act. A vehicle being left at a workshop does not automatically authorise its disposal. Confirm the applicable requirements with the relevant authority before proceeding.

What if some fleet vehicles have finance, fines or restrictions?

Flag this at the start and check the status with the lender or relevant registration authority. Any required clearance and documentation must be clarified for the agreed route; no approval is guaranteed.

Will the whole fleet receive one price or one disposal route?

Do not assume all vehicles have the same value or route. Condition, make, model, year, reusable components, documents and collection requirements can differ. Discuss the scope and valuation basis before agreeing.

Can collection dates or disposal approvals be guaranteed?

No fixed collection time or approval guarantee is offered on this page. Vehicle status, site access, handling requirements and any necessary checks must be reviewed before arrangements are confirmed.
